Beautiful quirky old apartment, felt like we were in a sailing ship! So well placed for lovely cafes and restaurants in Church St, Bridge St and surrounds - brunch at Mr Cooper's Coffee House and dinner at The Edge and Cosa Nostra were particular highlights. Close to the Abbey, and just a short walk across the bridge to the town and beach. Really well equipped, spacious rooms. The only downside for us was noise from seagulls (but it is a seaside town!) and reversing delivery lorries outside in the early morning - the only reason for marking down on comfort. Parking is a real challenge in Whitby, we had 2 cars and ended up parking for the full week in the small council car park in Church St just a 5 minute walk away. We didn't manage to find any W spaces, and they were more of a walk away anyway. It was around £10 per day for the car park and saved the stress of trying to re-park after being out and about. EV chargers there were regularly blocked by ICE cars but I did manage to charge. We walked around Whitby, took the bus to Robin Hood's Bay for £2 each way and had a trip on the NYM Railway. The bus and train station are very easy to get to on foot and we would have likely used public transport for any other outings. Whitby is lovely for a short break.
