Guests say

Guests consistently praise the spaciousness, cleanliness, and well-equipped nature of the cottage, appreciating its peaceful farm setting and the hospitality of the owners. The property's rural charm and the presence of farm animals add to the experience, although the access road's condition and water taste are noted concerns. The thoughtful touches, such as homemade cakes, are warmly received.

The majority of reviews highlight the property's cleanliness, with guests finding it spotless and well-maintained. A few isolated comments mention areas needing attention, but these do not detract significantly from the overall high standards observed.

The location is generally appreciated for its picturesque, quiet, and remote setting on a working farm, offering a peaceful retreat. However, some guests mention the bumpy access road and proximity to farm animals as minor drawbacks.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with its spacious layout and cosy atmosphere. Some reviews mention the beds being hard and a few issues with water pressure, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.

While guests are pleased with the well-equipped kitchen and the provision of two bathrooms, there are mixed comments about maintenance issues such as water pressure and non-working fans. Due to the lack of consistent detail across reviews, a precise score cannot be provided.

The owners' thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with guests appreciating the welcoming touches like homemade cakes. It's important to note that while these gestures are highly valued, they are personal touches and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

It had everything we needed for our short break away. Our boys wanted to move in and stay forever! We would definitely return. Thank you.

Kitchen very well equipped - apart from a tea-cosy (no a criticism, we've only ever stayed in one cottage which had one)! None of the 'warnings' we received - long, bumpy track, airplane noise and farm/harvest noise were any problem at all. The car parking/yard to the cottage door were very uneven and ill-lit, and moving a planter would have allowed us to park the car in the yard itself near the door, much easier for anyone with some mobility issues. We were a bit disappointed at the lack of local/tourist info, cottages usually have a basket/drawer full of leaflets, menus and timetables to read. There were some on a board, but too high and too tiny to be any use. A guest book would have provided comments and recommendations from previous guests, which would have helped, too. There were a very few games and DVDs provided, but the lovely wooden units had a lot of empty space which could have had more games, DVDs and lots of books in, which would have been lovely. Bathroom sink plug didn't keep the water in, and door didn't lock. (Very minor snagging.) Owners were friendly and helpful, would definitely come again.

Gorgeous, peaceful setting listening to the animals and birds. Only downside (and advice if you booking here) the tap water is not drinkable so bring some bottled water. Would def stay here again
