Bedroom 1: With double bed.
Bedroom 2: With twin beds.
Shower room: With walk-in shower, toilet and heated towel rail.. Electric heaters, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial supply of coal for open fire included.. Cot and highchair available by request. Wi-Fi available.. Decking area with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Shared use of 1-acre grounds. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. This detached wooden bungalow has recently been renovated and offers crisp facilities. The bungalow sits within the village of Kames on an open, elevated position, facing east out to the Kyles of Bute. The property has a lovely large decked area to the front, where you can enjoy eating out or to just relax and unwinf. The bungalow is close to the essential amenities, only a minuties walk from the local village shops, post office and the local hotel, with pub and restaurant, is down by the shore - only a 5 minute walk away. Carnethy has a lovely open plan kitchen/dining area that seats 4. The lounge is a wonderful light room with large windows and an open aspect. There is a large grassy garden (1 acre), and is shared with the cottage next door.

We stayed at Teenys Cottage on Skye last week which was the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in. We have gone from the best cottage to the worst in over 20 years of holidaying in Scotland. Place was dirty 3 lights in kitchen broken. Advertised washer/dryer no just a washing machine. Fancy American fridge/freezer No just a small fridge/freezer. American one was next to it obviously broken very unsightly.Towels smelt musty only small size towels no bath towel or bath sheet which didn’t help. No instructions had to Google cooker instructions. outside light didn’t work definitely needs hand rail for steep steps. Noticed for years in previous comments regarding decking being dangerous as uneven and warped owners haven’t done anything about it because when you walk on it you think your on a trampoline very dangerous. The hot water out of the tap isn’t hot it’s only tepid you have to boil kettle to wash up.The impression we had of this place is if anything goes wrong the owners do nothing to correct it they want as much as they can get with the least amount of outlay.

Lovely trip to Tighnabruaich! Our stay at Carnethy was perfect for us and had everything we needed !! The accommodation was simple & clean with all amenities that we could expect. Would highly recommend. We would definitely stay at Carnethy again !!

Apart from dog hair on the seating, the cottage was clean & reasonably well equipped but there was no information whatsoever about when and where to put bins out, how the heating worked etc. and no visitor book.Outside the cottage, the decking certainly requires attention. Dogs from the next door property were often around our side of the grounds making a mess and on occasions trying to get in to the cottage.
