About this property

This charming family cottage is located in the attractive and popular village of Aberfoyle in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Comfortably appointed throughout and within easy walking distance of the village facilities, this Aberfoyle cottage is ideal for families or groups of friends wishing to explore the beautiful scenery that this part of Scotland has to offer. This Aberfoyle cottage has three bedrooms consisting of a king-size double, a twin and a single, and with the ground floor accommodation boasting a kitchen/diner and a sitting room, this cottage caters perfectly for your relaxing holiday. The small courtyard garden of this Aberfoyle cottage is accessed down steps at the side of the property and might be unsuitable for those with limited mobility. Use this area as a relaxing place to sit and relax with a drink after a day's sightseeing. The popular village of Aberfoyle lies in the middle of some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland. Visit the many lochs that surround the village of which Loch Lomond and Loch Katrine are two of the best known and not forgetting the Lake of Menteith, Scotland's only 'lake', with its excellent fishing which is considered by many as the finest Rainbow Trout venue in Scotland. With so much scenery around, walking is very popular with the Rob Roy Way and West Highland Way virtually on your doorstep. The National Cycle Network Route 7 passes nearby and with golf courses both nearby and within an hour's drive, there is something for everyone at this Aberfoyle cottage.

The village of Aberfoyle lies within The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The area around the Trossachs is where Highland meets Lowland, and the surrounding hills are friendlier than the Highlands further north. Aberfoyle itself offers a selection of shops, restaurants and pubs and is situated just a 20 minute drive from the shores of Loch Lomond. Within The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park there are a huge variety of attractions; enjoy a gentle stroll through the Balloch Castle Country Park or the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, which will guide you past lochside villages and sandy bays, or, for the more adventurous, the mountains offer challenging walks and climbs.
