About this property

A delightful, semi-detached bungalow, located on the coastal side of Benllech on the Isle of Anglesey. Offering high quality accommodation in stylish and contemporary rooms, this is a superb seaside cottage to enjoy all year round. A spacious hallway opens into the welcoming sitting room with a decorative woodburner, furnished with attention to detail and inviting you to settle into the comfy sofas and relax. The kitchen continues to reflect the quality of the cottage, with oak block worktops, modern units and integrated appliances, linking into the dining area, which looks out through patio doors to the enclosed rear garden. The master double bedroom, along with the kitchen, benefits from sea glimpses, whilst the front king-size double room has been given a nautical theme, or unzip the beds to make a great 2' 6'' twin room if required. Relax in the lovely garden with a refreshing drink whilst planning your next day’s activities. It is just 5 minutes’ walk to the golden, sandy beach, and a similar distance to the pubs and shops of the town. Golfers of all standards will enjoy the various local courses, and the Anglesey Coastal Path is a welcome opportunity for everyone to explore the fantastic clifftop paths, sandy beaches and hidden coves that scatter the coastline towards Moelfre and Red Wharf Bay. This is a quality property, offering a lovely holiday base for families or couples to enjoy.

Benllech has a beautiful, long and sandy beach, much favoured by families, with a slipway allowing easy access for all. A variety of shops and cafés front the beach, with a picnic area to the side, whilst the village centre offers more shops, pubs, hotels and restaurants. The setting promises to suit every taste, with the village itself ideal for family holidays, whilst the rural setting offers peace and easy access to the coast, rural Anglesey and of course the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.

We were also given 2 phone numbers which we could have used if the need arose. During our stay a gardener came to cut the grass and tidy the garden. We found the property easily with the directions given and were very happy with the location which is on a residential, quiet street, but is easily walkable to the beach in a few minutes and the village amenities in around 10mins. We were expecting the drive to be steep from reading previous reviews and it is rather steep, but we managed it no problem by the driver reversing down being guided by the other and when going out 1 person guided the driver to help with restricted visibility. It did help having an automatic vehicle. The house itself is well furnished with an open plan lounge, 2 double bedrooms, a modern kitchen/diner and shower room. There are so many cupboards in the kitchen that it takes a couple of days to remember where things are, there is a fridge, freezer, washing machine, dryer, iron, vacuum cleaner but no dishwasher, however you do get a lovely sea view while washing up! The kitchen had a lot more plates, cups, glasses, utensils etc. than we needed with only 2 of us for a week. The lounge and bedrooms are carpeted and the colour of this is rather light for a rental property. We didn't find this a problem as we always remove our outdoor shoes in the porch at home, so did the same here, but you can see that not everyone has done this, especially in the lounge. The heating came on at set times morning and evening and we found the house to be very cosy. There are plenty shops, cafes, takeaways, pubs etc in the village. The bedroom we used had a firm but comfortable bed, We slept well as it was quiet but then we were also hiking around 7 miles every day on the fabulous coastal path! We found it was very easy to drive anywhere on the beautiful island from Benllech and would definitely return in the future.
