With a ground floor bedroom, with the ground floor basin and WC just across the hall, this Kidwelly holiday cottage is suitable for the less mobile, plus with five further bedrooms on the first floor, the accommodation is both spacious and versatile. The very well equipped kitchen at this Kidwelly cottage lends itself superbly to creating wonderful meals for everyone, plus it has a large dining table as well as a second table in one of the sitting rooms right next to the kitchen, so you can keep the conversation flowing right through the house. The main sitting room has been beautifully furnished with an ornamental open fireplace and a large flat screen TV. The second sitting room in this lovely Kidwelly cottage is a relaxing room which leads onto the large patio and creatively brings the outdoors into the room. Wander through the patio doors to the covered hot tub where you can enjoy each other's company as you watch the children playing in the large, enclosed gardens, unless they're busy making the most of the games room with an interchangeable medium-size pool table and a dart board. With such wonderful space to enjoy time together, you may decide not to leave the cottage but if you do, you will find a superb array of fantastic days out within easy reach. For a lunch break, The Mason Arms is a wonderful pub, with a delightful thatched roof and a beer garden that is dog friendly, it’s the perfect spot for a beverage break, particularly in the summer months, or visit Parc Y Bocs, a dog and child friendly cafe and restaurant with lakes and various delightful animals such as llamas and pigs, not forgetting its very own hobbit hole, a pavilion and free play area for the kids, promising a fantastic day for the whole family. If you fancy a day of exploration, take a ferry from Ferryside to Laugharne, offering trips daily (weather permitting) it’s the perfect opportunity to explore the lovely beaches and the historic landmarks of the area. Also nearby there is a new ferry crossing from Ferryside to Laughrne which is dog friendly and a fabulous day trip, departing only 10 mins / 4 miles drive from the house. Dyffryn House is a wonderful property, situated at the heart of the action, it promises a delightful stay for all, no matter the time of year.

The coastal town of Kidwelly is situated at the centre of West Wales, amidst a mix of rolling countryside, glistening seashores and whispering woodland. Occupying a commanding ridge-side position above the winding River Gwendreath, Kidwelly Castle is a must to explore, whilst the fascinating Heritage Museum makes for an interesting tour. Parc Y Bocs is a fairly new addition locally which has been hugely improved with massive investment in the facilities with a cafe and restaurant which welcomes dogs, has large lakes you can walk round and a free fabulous children?s play area. Nearby Pembrey Country Park offers an array of outdoor activities including horse riding and a dry-ski slope, while Cefn Sidan Beach provides the perfect spot for family fun or relaxing bathing. Follow the Celtic Trail Cycleway, explore the fascinating Wildfowl and Wetlands Park, or take a short drive to the scenic Brecon Beacons. With the vibrant town of Llanelli and the striking Millennium Coast at your disposal, this is a holiday location not to be missed.
