Min Y Don is a well-loved cottage in Conwy, praised for its warm, comfortable atmosphere and convenient location close to the town and a rock pool beach. Guests appreciate the high-standard refurbishment, the views of the castle, and the enclosed garden. While some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness points were raised, the overall experience is one of a homely and stylish retreat ideal for exploring North Wales.
The property generally meets expectations for cleanliness, but some guests noted areas for improvement such as dust, biscuit crumbs, and cup marks. These instances suggest occasional oversights rather than a consistent issue.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to Conwy Town, the beach, and views of the castle. The only drawback mentioned is the challenge of on-street parking, which is mitigated by a nearby pay and display car park.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with a warm and homely feel, well-furnished rooms, and a cosy log burner. However, some guests mentioned the beds being too warm due to memory foam mattresses.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped house and reliable Wi-Fi. Points were deducted for reported maintenance issues such as broken blinds and a dishwasher not functioning optimally.
There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate the owners' consideration for guests' experiences.

It was clean and homely but there are a few things that need addressing. The dishwasher didn't wash properly. Might need cleaning, salt and rinse aid. One of the blinds in the front room did not work so one blind was down all the time. The memory foam beds are not great if you get hot at night. If you had normal mattresses you can put more or less blankets on but can't change the matress. Lastly the sheets on the double beds were old and had bits on them which is really itchy for someone with eczema.

There were a couple of maintenance points to make you aware of, if you're not already. One of the blinds in the living room was broken (missing the cord to draw them), and the dining room blind cord was also broken so kept on coming off. It might have been from a previous guest, but the back bedroom smelled of stale cigarettes.

The house is beautifully decorated with real flair and style whilst maintaining a very cosy, homely feel. We enjoyed sitting round the log burner with a cup of tea and relaxing in the living room with views of the castle. The house is ideally located for exploring Conwy (2 min walk and you are in the ancient castle walls) and the local area. Conwy Morfa beach is lovely for a dog walk. Just two small things to consider providing to make the stay perfect: dishwasher tabs and firelighters.
