Guests say

Cedar Tree Cottage in Ruthin is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and welcoming atmosphere. Guests appreciate the privacy, the beautiful gardens, and the property's suitability for relaxation and nature activities. The cottage is well-equipped and maintained, with friendly owners who are helpful when needed. Its location offers a mix of rural retreat charm and proximity to local attractions.

Guests consistently commend the cottage for its exceptional cleanliness, with one review specifically rating it 10 out of 10, indicating a very high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.

The location is appreciated for its natural beauty and proximity to cycling, walking, and other outdoor activities. However, one review mentions a lack of phone reception due to the valley location, which may affect the score slightly.

Reviews highlight the comfort of the cottage, describing it as a perfect retreat for relaxation and recharging. The property is noted for being well-equipped and comfortable, contributing to a relaxing holiday experience.

While the reviews mention the property being well-equipped and having a beautiful garden, there is a lack of specific detail on the range of facilities and maintenance, except for one negative comment about the design of the bedroom and landing ceilings. Therefore, a score cannot be accurately provided.

The reviews do not mention any specific gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, so while the hosts are described as welcoming and helpful, there is not enough information to score on thoughtfulness regarding gifts.

Bedroom and landing ceilings very badly designed

This is a little Gem in beautiful North Wales. Very clean and well equipped. The garden is beautiful secluded area we enjoyed our Bar B Que. But it is not gated so for young children or pets they can 'get out' by the side of the house. Owners are quick to respond to queries. Parking outside. No phone reception because the cottage is in a valley but you can use the house WiFi connection to keep in touch and share your photos!

Perfect retreat to recharge the proverbial batteries and felt very much at home and delightfully comfortable and relaxed. Great location in the wonderful scenery and close to ‘civilization’ too. Gem of a rural retreat and as General Douglas MacArthur said, ‘I shall return’.
