The first problem encountered was the key box l had to use the torch on my mobile to see the numbers on the box there is no switch for the porch light outside also when you open it the front of the box comes away l also had the same problem when leaving. The water is heated by solar panels which are on a roof with large tree branches hanging over them so not ideal in the colder months of the year when there is not so much sun, we tried to follow the instructions left by the owners to get hot water through the taps but to no avail so we rang the caretakers who were very helpful in talking us through how to use the booster box. The only radiator which was warm was behind the settee in the dining room the thermostat controlling the heating system was not working luckily it was not cold but a bit more heat would have been welcomed. The final point is the bathroom myself and others in our party are in our middle to late sixties and getting into the bath for the overhead shower in what is a small bathroom is not easy. This is the fourth cottage we have rented through Skyes and l must say it is far from the best therefore we will not be returning.

Comfortable cottage, which was very well stocked, and had every thing we needed . We had many cosy evenings relaxing around the log burner. Within driving distance of many different places to visit. Thank you for a lovely getaway!

The house is spacious, beautifully decorated and had good facilities. The property is secluded with a large pretty garden. It is well located with Caernarfon and Snowdon close by. We had a lovely holiday and we’re sad to leave.
