Located down a tree-lined drive on the owner's working sheep farm, Hen Dy is traditional double-fronted farmhouse, close to the small hamlet of Pentir and within 3 miles of the university city of Bangor in North Wales. The charming stone farmhouse is situated in a peaceful, rural location, is warm and welcoming, with a mixture of antique furnishings and modern fixtures and fittings. The spacious lounge has a homely wood burning stove and lovely rural views can be enjoyed from the bright conservatory and all the bedrooms. Travel to Bangor where you'll find a great choice of shops, pubs and restaurants.
The farmhouse is the perfect base for exploring both sea and mountains; there are great routes to follow on the Lon Las Cycle Path, the beautiful Ogwen Valley and all of Snowdonia is waiting to be explored. There's an abundance of local attractions, to suit all visitors, including Zip World, Penrhyn Castle, Llanberis-Snowdon Railway, the beautiful Isle of Anglesey, numerous beaches and the Coastal Path.

Absolutely lovely property. Perfect for families with small children and the owners kindly provided stair gates, a highchair, travel cot and nappy bin. The property was incredibly clean. The owners were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Fantastic stay in such a lovely cottage.

The cottage was lovely, in a beautifully secluded location but with easy access to Snowdonia and Anglesey. We had a wonderfully warm welcome from the owners on arrival, and the sense that nothing would be too much trouble. Everything in the cottage was to a high standard, and it was all very comfortable. If staying in the area again, Hen Dy would be top of our list when looking for somewhere to stay.
