Hywelfa is a well-loved cottage praised for its stunning views, proximity to the beach, and well-equipped amenities. Guests appreciate the practical layout, comfortable furnishings, and the hot tub. It caters well to families and groups, offering a peaceful yet convenient location. The gardens and wildlife add to the charm, and the property's thoughtful touches, such as a welcome pack, are noted.
Most guests found Hywelfa to be clean and well-maintained, though there were isolated comments about floors and surfaces needing more attention, and an issue with full bins on arrival. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The location is highly praised for its fabulous views and easy access to the beach and local village. The peaceful setting is appreciated, although the steep hill may challenge those with mobility issues.
Guests report that the beds are comfortable and the house provides flexible space for privacy. Some suggest the lounge could be cramped in wet weather, but overall, the comfort level is high.
The property is celebrated for its well-stocked kitchen, secure garden, and hot tub. However, there are suggestions for improvements such as adding blinds and addressing minor maintenance issues.
While guests have mentioned a welcome pack, there is not enough information to determine if this is a consistent offering or to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the host. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Beautiful house. Very well provisioned. Amazing views. Thank you

The kitchen is very well equipped, and instructions about and how to get to the cottage are clear. Attentive owner. Amazing views, Abersoch and its surrounds are lovely. Great days out, and places to eat around. The hot tub at the end of the day is wonderful. This is a great place for extended family to enjoy time together, with lots of space for people to do their own thing, as well as come together.

Hywelfa is the perfect holiday cottage, in a wonderful location. The drive accommodates 2 large vehicles and the house is spacious, easily accommodating 10 people ( we were a party of 9, with 3 generations). The kitchen is the best equipped of any holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. The lounge is possibly a little on the small side, but the conservatory is huge, with amazing views. The garden is a little steep, but this did not stop the youngsters (aged 10-13) in our party having a good time outside. The 'hidden' path in the front garden means that the beach is a stone's throw away. Abersoch is a lovely little place and St Tudwels Inn does surprisinglygood food. We would probably give Pwllhelia miss, but there is free parking on the embankment. Further afield, Caernarfon Castle is worth a visit and The Beacon climbing centre good. We would definitely recommend Hywelfa
