The location is frequently praised for its tranquillity and proximity to local attractions, walks, and the coast. It is described as an ideal spot for exploring North Wales, Anglesey, and Snowdonia.
Comfort is well-regarded with mentions of a cosy atmosphere, comfortable beds, and a warm environment. There is a single mention of a preference for a firmer mattress, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.
Facilities are generally praised, especially the hot tub and well-equipped kitchen. However, there are minor points raised about unpredictable Wi-Fi, underfloor heating not being on, and an oven with unclear labels, which slightly affect the score.
The host's thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of welcome goodies and prompt responses to queries. While gifts are appreciated, they are a personal touch and not guaranteed for every stay.

Caernarfon, a historic town, and Bangor, a cathedral city, are located on opposite sides of the magnificent Menai Strait from Y Felinheli, historically known as Port Dinorwic. There are a few bars, a restaurant and cafe at the dock, a shop and Post Office, a beautician and hairstylist, and several excellent eateries on the neighbouring Island of Anglesey. The village is also home to a small, well-established yachting marina with an interesting lock (allowing boats to enter or leave before cruising down the Straits to the open sea). Eryri (Snowdonia), the Llyn Peninsula, and the Isle of Anglesey's magnificent beaches are all within easy driving distance from this charming region, so vacationers here are spoiled for choice.

Also a couple of things that proved a problem. The oven has no labels on the controls so it is almost impossible to use. Also there is a definite issue in the bathroom as after one day of use there was a smell of damp in there. This is highlighted by the damp area on the ceiling near the window. Finally as we were around during the day, we were asked to open the gates by delivery drivers who had followed their sat nav.

It is exactly as described and we had a lovely stay there and would definitely book again. The owners are friendly and helpful and the food at the local pub is amazing.
