The property really is great for spending some quality time with those you love, the walking is second to none, the area will enchant you and the views really do have to be seen to be believed. Abergavenny is the nearest town, with independent cinema, a supermarket for supplies and a food festival each September. Nearby attractions include Crickhowell which is a little town to stock up on local supplies, with independent stores and a butchers, there is also a mountaineering shop and tourist info. The Welsh Borders are almost littered with Norman castles, Raglan, White Castle, Grosmont and Skenfrith. Hereford houses the Mappa Mundi and is the nearest city, with beautiful cathedral and pretty Church Street. Pony trekking is available in the nearby Llanthony Valley and Llangattock Escarpment. The accommodation offers four bedrooms: 1 super king size, 1 double, 1 twin and 1 bunk bedroom. Bathroom: with bath, shower and WC. Wet room: with shower and WC, on the ground floor. Lounge: with open fire (first basket of logs included), TV, DVD and iPod dock. Snug: with double sofa bed sleeping 2 (there is an additional charge of 35 per person to use this). Conservatory. Kitchen/diner: with electric double oven, induction hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine and larder. Outside: garden. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen, towels, electric, underfloor heating and Wi Fi included. Regret no smoking. 2 dogs welcome (please keep dogs in the spacious kitchen/boot room area). Additional info: the lower track leading to the property is narrow in places. Wi Fi, please be aware that this can be patchy due to the remote location. It is advisable to use a 4x4 in winter months due to the remote location and with the property being located on farmland. Arrival: 4pm Need to know: sleeps 2 8 ( 2): Four upstairs bedrooms: A super king size master bedroom, a double, a twin and a childrens bunk bed room. There is a downstairs playroom which can be made up instead of the bunk beds if preferred. There is also a sofa bed available to sleep up to 2 additional people (there is a 35 surcharge per person to make up the sofa bed or the downstairs bedroom). Please note that all upstairs bedrooms are accessed via a steep staircase, so care must be taken at all times. Bathing: Luxury wet room / family bathroom with great views, a huge shower and bath tub positioned in front of a fireplace. Downstairs wet room, basin and loo. Fluffy towels included, and water is supplied from our very own spring! relaxing: Sitting room, with open fireplace, first batch of logs included, television, dvd player, iPod dock, original art work and under floor heating. Wi fi, please be aware that this can be patchy due to the remote location. There is a downstairs snug, with sofabed and a downstairs playroom with stunning views and toys / games available. Dining: Large kitchen / dining area, with underfloor heating, huge oak windows looking out across the mountains, solid oak hand built kitchen, zinc work tops, walk in larder, electric double oven, induction hob and butler sink. Boots & MUD: Boot room, perfect for hanging coats, keeping boots, washing off the mud. Laundry facilities with washing machine. PETS: Up to 2 dogs are accepted on the understanding that they please stay in the kitchen/boot room area...underfloor heated and a good size, they'll love it! vehicle access: The lower track leading to the property is narrow and steep in places. Due to the remote location of the property and with it being on farmland, it is advisable to use a 4x4 in winter months. Please note that the property is not suitable for home delivieries. Offer: 20% discount for couples booking out of school holidays and only using one bedroom. Holiday preparation: We would advise to contact local amenities directly, such as shops, restaurants, pubs and attractions, to confirm the latest opening times and availability.
