The Granary in Usk is praised for its comfortable, spacious accommodation and stunning, tranquil location. Guests enjoy the working farm setting, friendly owners, and the property's cleanliness. Some minor maintenance issues are noted, but the overall experience is highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.
Guests generally find The Granary clean, with only minor comments about the occasional cobweb, which is understandable given its countryside location. The property is well-maintained, contributing to a positive impression of cleanliness.
The location is consistently described as stunning and tranquil, offering magnificent views and a peaceful environment. The narrow lanes are mentioned, but they do not significantly detract from the overall appreciation of the setting.
The property is noted for its comfortable and spacious rooms, with several en suite bedrooms and large living spaces. However, some guests mention that the shower pressure in the main bedroom could be improved.
Facilities like the dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer are appreciated, but there are suggestions for maintenance, such as updating the shower and garden furniture. The presence of a working farm adds to the charm for many visitors.
While some guests mention the lack of a welcome pack and suggest it would be a thoughtful addition, there is no consistent mention of gifts or special touches provided by the hosts. Therefore, it is not possible to score this category.

A relaxing property to stay in. Angela who hosted us initially was very helpful and friendly and then the owners returned who were very nice and the whole experience was great. Perfect for walking sections of the Offas Dyke path and visiting Castles!

Absolutely loved our stay. The only slight drawback was the low power shower. The roads around the property are very narrow and whilst quiet for majority of the stay, we twice came across tractors with trailers which meant we had to reverse quite a distance in the lane to allow them to pass. If you are not confident reversing your car, this might be a problem. Would we return, you bet your life we would, such a tranquil location.

The area is beautiful, the lanes, although narrow, have passing places and nowhere near as bad as we expected having read comments. It might be advisable to go on Streetview to familiarise yourself with the location of the entrance to the drive as the name of the adjoining owners house is small. There were,as other guests have mentioned previously, some issues that still need addressing. The shower in Bedroom 1 needs replacing, as it is not much more than a dribble. The small rugs on the floors are trip hazards, especially the one at the top of the stairs. The garden furniture, as mentioned by a previous guest a year ago, still needs cleaning. A fresh disposable dishcloth might be a good option rather than a fabric cloth. The cottage is in an amazing location, especially for those needing a base to walk this section of Offa's Dyke and with an update it would be incredible.
