Beaches close by for lazy days, fabulous coastal and countryside walks and an abundance of outdoor activities to enjoy to keep the whole party entertained.
Hafod Grove is the perfect venue for a large group gathering of 18 to 26 guests in seven to ten bedrooms. This fabulous six to seven bedroomed Mansion House sleeps up to 18 and has plenty of Georgian charm and with the option to hire Hafod Villa the adjoining three bedroom cottage, can accommodate larger groups ofup to twenty-six in a total of nine – ten bedrooms. The two properties can easily be integrated but are individually very private enjoying large seperate gardens, separate parking areas and separate entrance drives.
Nestling within more than an acre of private grounds with its own drive for access, the Mansion House enjoys plenty of space inside and out and affords lovely views over the countryside and coast in the distance. Whilst Hafod Villa adjoins the Mansion House, it also has a large garden of half an acre and its own access drive, ensuring both properties enjoy plenty of privacy when rented separately. When rented together, you simply open the seven foot high gate and a short internal hall way and the two become one!
With weekend breaks with the exception of school holidays starting from as little as £1650 for 18 guests (or £2150 when both the cottage and house are rented together for groups of up to 26), A weekend at Hafod Grove starts at 4.00pm Friday and ends at 3pm Sunday, this is to allow guests to enjoy an extra day without booking an extra night, or rushing off early.
Hafod Grove provides impressive, yet affordable self-catering for those planning a milestone celebration or family event. Whilst the peak months are obviously more expensive, it is still exceptionally cost effective when families split the cost of this large property and holiday together.
Many guests have returned time after time which is testament to the property and surrounding area. Inside you have all the amenities you could wish for to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay. Open fires add to the atmosphere when catching up over a glass or two, and WiFi and Sky (with HD Films) provide entertainment. The enormous kitchen/dining area with Aga for winter and electric range for summer months, this is an incredibly social area with everything provided for self-catering and enough seating to have everyone in one place to enjoy supper.
For wildlife enthusiasts and walkers, there are fabulous walks to enjoy straight from the front door. Lace up your walking boots and walk to Ceibwr Bay, a picturesque beauty spot by the sea just over a mile from Hafod Grove. From there you can pick up the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and enjoy miles of incredible seascapes where you often catch sightings of seals, a multitude of sea birds and if you are lucky, dolphins, whales, basking sharks and even turtles on occasions around the coastline. There are also excellent opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, fishing and horse riding, as well as adrenaline sports like coasteering for the adventurous amongst you.
If that all sounds too energetic, you have two gorgeous (please take out the golden) sandy beaches to lay your towel and relax on close by, where the younger ones can explore the rock pools and build sand castles until their hearts are content. Alternatively, simply relax in the gardens of Hafod Grove and enjoy a picnic or BBQ with plenty of space to find a shaded spot to enjoy a quiet moment with a good book (the children will have plenty to keep them occupied with trampoline, swings and lawn area to let off steam and play ball games and hide and seek).
Local attractions include St Dogmaels Abbey, Cardigan Castell, The Shire Horse Farm, Castell Henllys: an iron age fort.to name but a few Day trips out include St Davids (the smallest city in Britain), Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm (sure to be a holiday highlight with the kids), the quaint Georgian town of Aberaeron as well as historic castles, country houses, ruins, museums and art galleries.

Prices: The prices quoted on this advert are for the house (sleeping up to eighteen in seven bedrooms). Please enquire with the owner for larger groups of up to twenty six.
Additional information: 'Sedate' stag parties and hen nights are welcome. There is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Bed linen, central heating and electricity included in the price. Please bring our own towels or they can be provided as an optional extra. Well behaved dogs are welcome (the garden is very large and enclosed but not fully dog proof due to its size!). The property is cleaned between each let and for guests staying for two weeks, a mid-stay clean is provided. Strictly no smoking. Outside catering can be arranged.
