Originally built for the family who worked the local copper mine, this pretty property is found down a private lane, among fields, with only birds and sheep to disturb you. However, despite it s remote location, the village of Felinfach is only 1 mile down the lane, with a local pub and celebrated gastro pub. Walks lead from the door into the surrounding countryside, but for something a little more challenging, Brecon is just 5 miles away, providing you with a gateway to miles of great walks and cycling through the Brecon Beacons. Alternatively, a gentler experience can be found in the literary town of Hay on Wye, 12 miles east, where you can explore the quaint streets of this historic town of books . Stepping into this period property is like stepping back in time, with many of the original features still on show. Heavy wood beams and exposed stonework give a real sense of the building s history, augmented by a large inglenook fireplace housing an open wood burner in the sitting room, and an old fashioned range and bread oven that is still used as a fireplace in the kitchen.
