Footpaths and riverside walks lead direct from the property, and The Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons and the Wye Valley are all within easy reach. There is an abundance of National Trust properties locally, Hergest Croft Gardens, Croft Castle, Berrington Hall, and Hampton Court Gardens are all within easy reach. Hay on Wye is a treasure to visit famous for its bookshops and festivals, it still retains its old market town atmosphere. Step into this charming house from the front garden and patio area for an unforgettable holiday with loved ones. This spacious accommodation is set out over four floors and offers eight beautiful bedrooms to choose from. There is one bedroom on the lower ground floor, three bedrooms on the ground floor, three bedrooms on the first floor, as well as a hideaway loft bedroom which is surprisingly spacious with a TV to keep you entertained. All bedrooms have freshly laundered bedding and towels provided. Enjoy a hot bubble bath in the roll top tub on the first floor, or choose from one of the other two shower rooms. The lounge on the ground floor has a warming wood burner (first basket of logs included) and Bose sound system an ideal gathering space to catch up with friends and family. There is also a second lounge with woodburner, SkyTV and DVD, on the first floor. This leads out onto the fabulous decking area. The elegant dining room offers a large table to seat 16, perfect for celebrations, with the well equipped kitchen just down the hallway with Aga and electric oven, two fridges and dishwasher. There is also a useful utility room with laundry facilities available. The Aquarium Recreation Room is just a stroll away from the main house, cool and funky, light and spacious, this room has been lovingly created with every thought directed to chilling out and slowing down. With a full sized pool table, Bose speakers and dock for your personal choice in music, drinks cabinet, quirky lighting, comfy sofa and stunning aquarium frieze all around the walls you'll need to be dragged away for Sunday lunch. The room is fully insulated, making the most of the roaring wood burner whenever you need it. Need to know: sleeps 8 16: Eight bedrooms in total. On the ground floor there is 1 king size bedroom with wood burner, 1 single bedroom and 1 double four poster bedroom with wood burner. On the lower ground floor there is 1 twin bedroom. On the first floor there is 1 large king size bedroom with a four poster bed and wood burner, 1 kings size bedroom with a wood burner and 1 double bedroom. There is also 1 loft triple bedroom, with 1 double bed and 2 single beds. Relaxing: Two great spaces to relax in: an upper drawing room, with wood burning stove, Sky TV and DVD, leads to a garden terrace. A selection of books and and DVD's are available for you to enjoy. Ground floor sitting room with wood burning stove, Bose sound system, Wi Fi (signal can be patchy in parts of the house). Two baskets of logs are provided and more wood is readily available from local shops. One ground floor wet room style shower room, with basin and loo. Plus two first floor bathrooms, one with bath, wet room style shower, basin and loo, a second with shower, basin and loo. PETS: Two dogs are welcome at this property.
