Situated in it's own beautiful private grounds, surrounded by spectacular scenery, this pet-friendly, spacious Welsh farmhouse combines modern comforts with traditional character.
Combining traditional character with modern fixtures and fittings, this newly renovated, pet-friendly farmhouse offers spacious and comfortable accommodation for upto 13 people. Located in a quiet spot in Snowdonia National Park, the property enjoys spectacular views of the Cader Idris mountain, Barmouth estuary and the Llyn Peninsula. Ideal for a large group of family or friends, the farmhouse has a spacious lounge with a cosy wood burning stove and a large kitchen/diner with plenty of space for socialising in a remote spot with walks and fine views. Please be aware that while accessible as a building, guests have to pass through six farm gates on their way up the seven mile road from Dolgellau. Therefore this property is geared more towards groups that appreciate quiet separation from society.
The peaceful and tranquil location will appeal to many; walkers, photographers and wildlife lovers can leave the front door and either take the ridge up to the mountain, walk down to the beach at Fairbourne or cross Barmouth Bridge to visit the town and beach. Less than 3 miles walk away is Barmouth, Snowdonia's most popular seaside resort with breathtaking views of Cardigan Bay and a picturesque harbour and where you'll find a good choice of shops, pubs and restaurants. Local attractions include Fairbourne Railway where you can experience scenic rides, and Cregennan Lakes, two natural lakes that are ideal for families to serious anglers. Please bear in mind that this property is half way up a mountain, and that whilst there are more gentle walks on the level commanding excellent views, the descent to Fairbourne and Barmouth is quite steep.

Mr Cameron
Stunning views, really cozy place. Our group had a great time and we were all very impressed with the quality of the cottage and with the unbelievable scenery. We did get extremely lucky with the weather though!
Ms Mussa
Beautiful surroundings. Lovely place would definately go back.
Mrs Mitchell
We have stayed around Arthog on numerous occasions. This is by far the most scenic. Its location guarantees peace and tranquility. We walked from the doorstep for miles. The house is lovely. We spent most of our time in the kitchen/dining room to admire the views. We have 2 large dogs and the garden is definitely secure for them. There is a lot of land and I think this is an ongoing project. It will be wonderful when there is a lawn to sit on and for children to play on. It’s a trek through the 12 gates to the property from Dolgellau but so worth it for the lakes and mountains. We did drive down the steep hill to Arthog but wouldn’t recommend driving up. The better route was sign post cregennan lake. The supplies were gratefully received. Thank you. We hope to return to Cyfannedd Uchaf.
