About this property

A delightful apartment situated over the first and second floors of this three storey semi-detached Victorian property in the village of Corris. Well-appointed and nicely presented, this apartment is a perfect base for a couple or a small family. Accessed through its own private front door on the ground floor, stairs lead up to a split-level landing on the first floor where there is a well-appointed bathroom, good-sized kitchen with breakfast table and a spacious sitting room with dining area. The sitting room offers comfortable accommodation, a warming electric log-effect fire and comfy reclining sofas and chairs, perfect for relaxing in after a day out and about exploring. The views enjoyed from the sitting room are fantastic, looking down over the forestry and the wooded hills of the Dovey Valley just add to the enjoyment of this lovely apartment. Two spacious bedrooms are located on the second floor, both with a king-size bed and the front bedroom benefits from some wonderful views too! A lovely apartment which offers a great base for those who enjoy the outdoors in an all year round location. For a great day out, visit the Italian village in Corris. Climb the grassy track from Corris village through the woods. Also, visit the nearby King Arthur's Laybrinth for a great adventure for all the family.

This traditional Welsh village stands directly on the edge of the southern part of the Snowdonia National Park. Situated on the banks of the River Dulas and overlooking the wooded slopes of the Dovey Forest, this old slate quarrying village is perfect for mountain biking enthusiasts. The village boasts a village pub and is directly opposite the well-known mountain biking Cli-machX run, as well as the famous Coed-y-Brenin Mountain Bike Centre being nearby. The village also offers the historic Corris narrow gauge railway, an excellent craft centre, the Corris slate mining Explore's centre and the exciting King Arthur's Labyrinth Underground Experience, along with interesting local walks that abound. Discover The Tarrens, probably the best ridge walk in Wales as well as the wonderful mountains of Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy which are both close by. We spent four nights here (family of 4 with 2 young children) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Reading prior reviews, we were worried about parking, but the owner had recently renovated the parking place, and so you could now comfortably park two SUV's. Pete is great to deal with as a host and is very responsive. The house was very spacious, has a big kitchen with all amenities and have spacious bedrooms. The house also had a lot of interesting books. The views from the living room and the bedroom were mind blowing. There are several walks from the house and lots of other attractions nearby. I would gladly recommend this to anyone and would visit again.

There are lots of steps and the roads are tight but this wasn't a problem for us, meant we could enjoy the view!

We made good use of the well equipped spacious kitchen. There certainly are alot of steps at this property but this seems only in keeping for this part of Wales. The views across the valley are beautiful and we enjoyed the walk from the doorstep passing the very curious Little Italy.
