There’s a decked area downstairs too, but the real hen-weekend bonus is the chance to get out on the Broads. A motor launch is included during much of the year, so you can swap the usual taxi ride for a considerably more memorable cruise.

Outside, the deck and hot tub are prime territory for robe-and-fizz photos with the mountains behind you. It’s a brilliant choice if your hen group wants stylish interiors, big scenery and a slightly more grown-up weekend, with Fort William close enough for food, drinks and activities.
Windermere Lodge – Millom, Cumbria

For a smaller hen group after woodland views and hot-tub time, Windermere Lodge is a strong contender. The Scandinavian-inspired styling keeps things simple but camera-friendly, with natural textures, an open-plan living space and a deck looking out over the surrounding trees and hills.
That private hot tub is the obvious photo spot, especially once the fairy-light-and-fizz portion of the evening begins. You’re tucked away in ancient woodland too, so it feels suitably escapist, with the Lake District close by if the group fancies swapping robes for walking boots the next day.
What makes a hen house Insta-worthy?
Start with the backdrop. Statement interiors, colourful feature walls, big windows and stylish communal spaces all give you somewhere better than the kitchen doorway for the inevitable group photo. Then look outside. City skylines, rolling countryside and coastal views can do a lot of the heavy lifting, especially for golden-hour shots.
