Villa Zavana is truly a corner of paradise. Sleeping eight guests in four bedrooms, villa Zavana is located on the idyllic island of Mljet. Filled with trails taking you to salt lakes, dramatic coastlines and hidden bays, you can truly escape from the bustle of the world. The villa is set directly on the coast, surrounded by greenery, so you can enjoy the calming waters and watch the sunset over the sea.
Starting on the villa grounds, you have access to a Greek-inspired patio with pillars, where you can relax into the view of the Adriatic sea. Watch the sunlight dance on the calm waters while enjoying your morning coffee or a glass of bubbles as the sun sets. An infinity style pool runs along the patio, with steps on one side to guide you into the water. Sun loungers are spread across the deck and to the waters edge, letting you enjoy the scene from every angle. A separate dock juts out to the sea with a pergola over the water, with cream drapes to protect against the sunshine.
Back in the villa, the family kitchen has all the modern appliances you need, including a stove, dishes and utensils, refrigerator, toaster, oven, icemaker and, more importantly, a wine refrigerator. Make this stay even more effortless and request a private chef to cater for your family, allowing you to spend every moment soaking up the sunshine.
Four bedrooms with ensuite family bathrooms are spread across the two floors, each with comfortable beds and modern finishes.
You also have access to a sauna, allowing you the ideal rest after a day exploring the coastline. A fully equipped gym and fitness room come with the villa, so you can keep up motivation while you unwind. You can look out across the Adriatic Sea from the balcony on the first floor, escaping deeper into the canopy above.
If this wasn’t enough, this villa comes with its own motor boat with a skipper, so you can go out and enjoy the Adriatic sea at your leisure. Discover hidden coves and dive into the crystal waters surrounding the island.
Villa Zavana is nestled on one of the greenest islands along the Croatian coastline. Mljet is filled with lush Mediterranean vegetation and surrounded by crystal clear waters of the Adriatic Sea. Those who visit this unique island fall instantly in love with it and always gladly return. If you want to experience the island further, visit National Park Mljet. You can hike across Mljet from the villa and experience every aspect of this unique landscape, including cliffs, bays, scattered islets and the unique geological system of two salt lakes.
You and your loved ones will truly escape from the hustle of your everyday lives and soak up Croatia's peace. The Adriatic Sea is on your doorstep; swim in the calming waters to truly relax in the landscape. Snorkelling is the perfect way to see the abundance of sea life encircling the remote island. With your private mooring and motor boat, it is easy for you to explore the hidden bays and beaches of the surrounding islands and Croatian mainland coastline. Prapratno is a port town near the island, situated on the mainland. From here, there are regular ferries to and from the mainland, giving you access to explore the Croatian countryside if you wish to.
The closest city to the island is the historic Dubrovnik. Due to its Mediterranean climate, Dubrovnik is guaranteed to have great sunny days. A maze of terracotta rooftops and narrow streets, Dubrovnik is a tourist hotspot for witnessing the culture and history of this region. The architecture is glorious and filled with sculptures, archways and engravings. Listed as a unesco world heritage site, the old town buildings were completed in the 13th century, giving a glimpse into what it looked like all those years ago. The old town was later encircled by a large stone wall which stands today but was completed in the 16th century. The wall runs up to the shoreline and defines the city's architectural skyline. A popular city walk, the 'walls of Dubrovnik' can easily be self-guided or in a group. The walls of Dubrovnik are 1940 meters long and include an impressive six fortresses. If you wish to explore every inch, planning would be wise. Fortresses are speckled in the Croatian countryside, reflecting Croatia's historical past.
The Lovrijenac fortress in Dubrovnik is impressive to visit. Built against a 37-metre rock face, this fortress was built in the 16th century. Today it gives an impressive backdrop to many theatrical performances from local theatres. If you want to see more of the impressive historic walls of the city, there are many tours for you to go on.
The architecture of Dubrovnik is rich in history. Rector's Palace, an elegant 14th-century palace that is now a museum, is an example of how the centuries defined the city. Those who enjoy Game of Thrones will know Dubrovnik was the setting of many scenes in the films, making the most of the historical backdrop for their settings.
