Villa Velebit is set beside the canal in Nin, a historic coastal town just north of Zadar. Nin itself is known for its rich past, with landmarks including the Church of the Holy Cross - often referred to as the world’s smallest cathedral - alongside Roman ruins, medieval churches, and a compact old town set on a small island connected by a stone bridge.

Beyond Nin, the surrounding region offers a mix of coastline, mountains, and national parks. The Velebit mountain range provides excellent opportunities for hiking and cycling, with routes that open out to wide coastal views. Paklenica National Park is a popular choice for more adventurous days out, known for its dramatic canyons and climbing routes, while the Zrmanja River is well suited to rafting excursions.
