Sitting in the midst of the snowy French Alps, this lovely modern apartment is the ideal place to escape to the mountains and enjoy a relaxing break with family and friends. Part of a newly completed residence, Apartment Dahlia is situated in the centre of Courchevel Village, just a short walk from the local shops and restaurants and a matter of minutes from the Grangettes Gondola.
Located on the 4th Floor, the apartment has been thoughtfully designed, with a cosy interior furnished with warm tones and natural textures. Exposed stone walls and wooden floors give a sense of a traditional alpine chalet, whilst contemporary lighting and stylish furniture add a subtle elegance. Upon entering, the main living room invites you to relax at the end of the day, with a sofa and armchair to one end where you can curl up with a book or watch a movie. A dining table sits to the centre with plenty fo room for everyone, whilst an open-kitchen is tucked to the corner of the room, featuring sleek cabinets fully-equipped for preparing meals throughout your stay. Enjoy warming dinners together in the evening, or make a hot chocolate and head out to the balcony to soak up the fresh mountain air whilst looking out across the snowy rooftops.
The apartment features two delightful bedrooms, each tastefully decorated with large double beds and soft furnishings. Both rooms benefit from an ensuite bathroom, and the master suite features a bathtub, perfect for soaking tired muscles at the end of the day. In the living room, the sofa can be rearranged into an extra bed to accommodate additional guests and there is also an independent WC by the entrance.
Whilst enjoying the independence of an apartment, guests have access to the residence fitness suite, whilst there is also the option to spend a relaxing afternoon in the sauna or booking into one of the treatment rooms. The apartment is serviced by an elevator, and there is a ski locker in the basement for wet and dirty kit.
Surrounded by the magical Vanoise Peaks, Apartment Dahlia enjoys a prime location in the middle of Courchevel Village. Whilst slightly quieter than the higher districts, the Village is a mixture of traditional chalets and modern hotels, offering a friendly and laid back charm. There are several ski hire shops and local restaurants within a few minutes walk, whilst with the Grangettes Lift less than 50m away, guests are swiftly transported to the resort’s central lifts and impressive ski network.
Forming part of the Trois Vallées, Courchevel offers the ultimate resort with nearly 150km of skiable terrain that caters to all abilities. Deep snow cover and consistently fine power cover the north facing slopes and an efficient lift system makes it easy to explore the valleys diverse offerings. For more reasoned skiers, La Saulire is the highest point, topping out at 2740m, and just off the cable car the Grand Couloir boasts one of the steepest pistes in the Alps. If you're after speed, head to L’Eclipse, an impressive black created for the 2023 World Championships, whilst Combe Saulire is a classic red that is best hit early in the morning. Near La Tania there are two nursery areas, as well as several dedicated beginners zones, and local instructors and ski schools can offer both group and private tuition for those looking to gain confidence.
Whilst Courchevel offers some of the most exclusive restaurants scenes and fine dining opportunities, there are plenty of mountainside spots to enjoy warming classics with a view. La Saulire is a more traditional affair, with authentic decor and alpine memorabilia, whilst La Cave des Creux is ideal for lunch in the sun. Run by local brothers, the unfussy restaurant boasts a spectacular view of Mont Blanc, whilst serving a brasserie menu that celebrates locally-sourced produce. For those looking to party, 1850 has an animated nightlife, and Le Caterail is a fun place to spend the evening with live bands and DJs.
For non-skiers the pedestrian lift-pass is perfect for meeting up with friends for lunch on the mountain, and it also gives access to the region’s circus of walking trails. Grab a pair of ‘raquettes’ to explore off the beaten track, or hire a guide and take a full day tour through the towering pines and discover the wilder side of the valley. The same paths can be enjoyed during the summer months, where the mountains come alive with vibrant grasses and wildflowers, and the area is a popular spot for hikers and nature enthusiasts alike.
