Peaceful Le Toure village also provides visitors with easy access to Chamonix and the other ski areas of the valley.
The sun-drenched Balme ski area is home to over twenty varied and accessible slopes to suit every level of experience and ability. Visitors to the highest point of the Balme area, reaching 2,270m, will find plenty of blue and red slopes to enjoy. Meanwhile, nearby Argentière offers seasoned skiers three distinctive zones and incredible vistas, with steep terrain and challenging off-piste skiing. Ski areas here include the lower terrain around Argentière, the mountain stretching from Lognan to Borchard, as well as steeper alpine terrain that reaches up to 3,275m and includes the jaw-dropping Argentière glacier.
Home to the Kandahar World Cup skiing event, Les Houches is great for beginners, with a welcoming upper plateau that provides rewarding mountain views.
