Set in secluded countryside, off a woodland track, Maison Les Chênes offers complete privacy just 10 minutes from the charming riverside town of Lalinde (8km). This vibrant market town by the banks of the Dordogne provides all essential amenities, including a bakery, supermarket and a selection of friendly cafés. Even closer, you can reach the banks of the Dordogne in around 4km at Mauzac-et-Grand-Castang.
A little further afield, Bergerac (30km) enchants with its half-timbered façades, cobbled lanes and riverside promenades. Once a major wine-trading port, it’s now a hub for wine tastings, boutique shopping and relaxed lunches on café terraces.
Meanwhile, the surrounding countryside is sprinkled with picturesque bastides - explore the medieval charm of Monpazier (36km) or Issigeac (29km), both rich in history and character and both officially classified as ‘Plus Beaux Villages’.
