Owned by a cabaret legend and theatre producer, La Belle Pierre has a personality all its own. Sleeping up to twelve guests across six double bedrooms, the house combines historic grandeur with contemporary comforts. Each bedroom pays tribute to a London burlesque performer, all featuring king-size beds and four with en suites. Two elegant salons offer space to unwind, one featuring a grand piano, while the generous farmhouse kitchen and dining area set the scene for leisurely meals and lively evenings. A vintage pinball machine adds another playful touch.
Outside, a private walled garden provides an idyllic setting for long afternoons. Take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool, stretch out on a lounger or enjoy long lunches beneath the open sky. As evening approaches, gather around the barbecue with a glass of local wine.

In the heart of the Lot-et-Garonne, La Belle Pierre is located in Laparade, a picturesque French bastide village surrounded by gently rolling countryside. Steeped in centuries of history, the village was once bequeathed by Louis IX to his brother, Alphonse de Poitiers, and retains its wonderfully authentic character. During the height of the summer (usually July and August), Laparade comes alive every Tuesday evening with its much-loved Marché Nocturne, held just outside the property's gates. This convivial night market brings together local food, regional wines and live music, creating an unforgettable taste of French village life literally on your doorstep (it usually packed away by 11/11.30pm). Families will also appreciate the table tennis facilities, basketball court and children's playground, all just a minute from the house.
Nearby, Castelmoron-sur-Lot (5.5km) offers local amenities alongside opportunities for summer canoeing and swimming in the River Lot. Those keen to explore on two wheels can follow the scenic voie verte cycling route between Granges-sur-Lot and Villeneuve-sur-Lot, while the surrounding countryside invites leisurely walks and outdoor adventures.
The region's charming bastide towns make delightful day trips. Explore Pujols (23km), a beautiful hilltop village with medieval streets and far-reaching views, or discover the historic architecture, shops and cafés of Villeneuve-sur-Lot (25km).
