Carcassonne (27km), with its fairy-tale turrets and unesco-listed ramparts, lies just 30 minutes away, while the golden sands of Narbonne-Plage beckon an hour to the east.

From your doorstep, it’s a short stroll along the main road into the village centre, home to traditional shops, café bars and restaurants. Twice a week, the market brings fresh local produce to tempt the senses. Rich in history, Rieux-Minervois dates back to the 11th century and is home to a rare 12th-century heptagonal church, its intricate columns crafted by the renowned Master of Cabestany.

The village lies along one of the ancient pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela, adding a layer of cultural depth to its timeless charm.
