About this property

A short walk from the village centre, Beauséjour is a delightful villa where sunny days revolve around the pool or day trips to the beach. This detached villa offers a sense of space, with a large garden stretching and a heated pool glinting beneath southern skies, just over 1km from the heart of Bessan.

Inside, the villa is relaxed and welcoming. The open-plan living and dining room is cooled by air-conditioning and opens directly to the garden through three sets of French doors. A well-equipped kitchen makes self-catering effortless, with modern appliances including an American fridge-freezer, dishwasher and breakfast area. The home sleeps up to 6 guests across three comfortable bedrooms, all served by a generous bathroom with twin basins, a corner bath and separate shower.

Whether you're perfecting your serve on the table tennis table, cycling to the boulangerie on one of the house bikes or simply soaking up the sun by the pool, Beauséjour is designed for guests of all ages to reconnect and unwind. With its residential setting, it’s wonderful being so close to Bessan’s centre, just over 1km away.

Located in the heart of Hérault’s wine country, Bessan is a traditional village with local shops, a twice-weekly market and a friendly, unhurried atmosphere. It’s just 15 minutes by car to the historic town of Pézenas, with its cobbled streets, excellent restaurants and famous Saturday market. The golden beaches of Vias-Plage and Marseillan are less than a quarter of an hour away, while nearby Cap d’Agde offers golf, watersports and Aqualand for family days out.

With the Mediterranean coast so close and the cultural richness of the Languedoc region on your doorstep, Beauséjour is the kind of place that welcomes you back year after year.

In a residential neighbourhood near the edge of the charming Hérault village of Bessan, Beauséjour enjoys a well-connected location in this part of the Languedoc region of southern France.

Just a short stroll brings you into the centre of Bessan, just over 1km away, a picturesque and traditional village with all essential amenities including a boulangerie, grocery store, café-bar, pharmacy and two inviting restaurants. The village buzzes twice a week with its lively street market, where local produce, flowers and regional specialities create a vibrant, authentic atmosphere.

A little further afield, Agde (8km) is one of France’s oldest towns, rich in history with its distinctive black basalt architecture and ancient cathedral. Set along the Hérault River, it offers a charming blend of heritage, markets and riverside cafés.

From this great base, you’re perfectly positioned to explore the many gems of the Languedoc coast. Within a 15-minute drive you’ll reach the sandy shores of Vias Plage (8km), lined with family-friendly beach clubs, cafés, and amusements. A little further lies Cap d’Agde (14km), a bustling seaside resort offering golf, watersports, a large marina, boat trips and Aqualand waterpark.

For something slightly quieter, Marseillan Plage (14km) and Sérignan Plage (25km) promise more laid-back beach days, while the serene Étang de Thau invites peaceful walks, birdwatching and oyster farms near Marseillan (11.5km).

History and culture lovers will adore nearby Pézenas (18km), just 20 minutes away. This enchanting town is famed for its beautifully preserved old quarter, artisan boutiques and its sprawling Saturday market that draws visitors from all over the region. Sip coffee in a shady square or explore the antique shops that stretch for over a kilometre. Béziers, with its striking cathedral, excellent flower market, and access to the scenic Canal du Midi, is another rewarding day trip just 19km away.

Wine enthusiasts are spoilt for choice, with vineyards surrounding Bessan and beyond. Enjoy tastings at local domaines, or learn about the production of iconic aperitifs at the Paul Ricard distillery in the village itself, or at the Noilly Prat cellars in nearby Marseillan.

Whether you're seeking beaches, vineyards, culture or countryside, Beauséjour’s superb location offers a gateway to the very best of the Languedoc region.
