The main house is a beautiful old mas decorated in keeping with the charm and character of the local Provencal area. The kitchen is new yet with a rustic feel and has a large La Cornue cooker and leads through to a traditional and intimate dining room. For relaxing indoors there is a formal drawing room with fireplace and an air conditioned lounge. All the ground floor rooms look out to the sensational gardens. The terrace is the perfect place to sit and soak up the view and the large outdoor dining table is protected from the midday sun by leafy trees.

The owner has recently converted an outbuilding into a simply stunning indoor dining area where you can feast with family and friends in beautiful surroundings. Meanwhile, guests can rest well across ten bedrooms (some with air-conditioning) and seven bathrooms. 

The magnificent gardens at Water Lily House are famous throughout the gardening world for their outstanding beauty and originality - they have inspired gardeners the world over. The garden is divided into separate areas each with its special atmosphere. Within the formal landscaped gardens are two swimming pools. The main swimming pool is situated within The African Garden where you can enjoy doing lengths overlooked by the lifelike giraffe and elephants.

The adjoining Pool House continues the African themed décor and has its own summer kitchen. There is a large built in Weber BBQ and outdoor dining area for days when you don’t want to leave the pool. You will also find a bathroom and wonderful outdoor shower making sure the whole area is completely self-sufficient to the main house.

The tennis court is at the front of the house and can be reached from the African Garden swimming pool through a lavender pathway. The tennis court has an inbuilt basketball net and two inbuilt football nets, ensuring hours of family fun - with floodlights, it's especially great in the evening after a long summers day.

Water Lily House enjoys a wonderfully central position to explore the many delights of Provence, just a short drive from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and the historic city of Avignon.

The beautiful residence and its world-renowned gardens are just over 2km from Noves, an attractive medieval village in Provence with all essential amenities including a supermarket, two chemists and an excellent local bakery for morning croissants and fresh bread.

Heading south, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (13km) awaits, renowned for its vibrant Wednesday morning market, artistic heritage and charming pavement cafes. Wine lovers can visit Château Romanin (18km) for a tour and tasting amid breathtaking vineyard scenery. The surrounding landscapes of Les Alpiilles offer picturesque cycling routes and invigorating hikes, while nearby Eygalières (15km) invites relaxed lunches in a postcard-perfect Provençal village. For something more active, try horseback riding in the surrounding hills or tee off at one of the excellent golf courses across the area.

Art and history enthusiasts will be drawn to the captivating town of Arles (37km), with its Roman amphitheatre, excellent museums and bustling Saturday market. Equally enticing is a trip to Avignon (17.5km), where the mighty Palais des Papes dominates the skyline. Wander its medieval streets or take a scenic boat ride on the Rhône.

Heading towards the Luberon instead, explore the charming canals and antique shops of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (21km), a pretty town famous for its working water wheels and laid-back Provençal charm. You could even combine it with a trip to the perched village of Gordes (32km), one of France’s ‘Plus Beaux Villages’.

Closer to home, Les Baux-de-Provence (23km) will equally enchant you with its hilltop charm and surrounding olive groves. Indeed, Water Lily House really is your perfect gateway to Provence - authentic, relaxing and full of discovery.
