About this property

In the Provençal countryside, just 6km from the historic town of Arles, La Grange Renaud is a charming holiday abode offering a perfect blend of style and comfort, close to some of the most stunning landscapes and cultural treasures of southern France.

This loft-style annexe accommodation is part of a beautifully renovated barn to the rear of the owner's house and boasts three bedrooms, each thoughtfully designed to ensure a restful stay. They all feature queen or king-size double beds (one of which can be split as a twin), modern shower rooms and separate WCs.

Kick back across the living-dining room with chic furnishings and a gorgeous open-plan kitchen beneath the traditional wood beams. Guests benefit from reversible air-conditioning throughout whilst the home also offers the unique opportunity to indulge in yoga and Pilates classes, available upon request.

Outside, discover a pretty space within the gravelled courtyard for al-fresco meals by the barbecue or simple relaxation on the decked terrace with a glass of chilled rosé beside the lavender. The little square pool is perfect for cooling down on warm days in the height of the summer.

This holiday home provides easy access to the vibrant cultural hub of Arles, rich in Roman history, art and photography. You are also well located for visiting the breathtaking natural landscapes of the Camargue and Les Alpilles alongside the historic city of Nimes.

Whether you’re exploring ancient ruins, discovering the region’s famous white horses and flamingos, or hiking through rolling hills and olive groves, La Grange Renaud serves as the perfect base for your Provençal adventure.

La Grange Renaud is only 6km from the Provençal town of Arles, just off the road that connects the artistic town to the small village of Raphèle-lès-Arles (home to the nearest bakery and small supermarket). Arles makes the perfect base for discovering the surrounding landscapes of southern France.

Wander Arles’ narrow, honey-hued streets that inspired Van Gogh, explore world-class galleries like the Luma Foundation, and immerse yourself in the town’s vibrant cultural scene. From spring through to autumn, Arles comes alive with events – none more iconic than the Rencontres d’Arles Photography Festival, drawing creatives and visitors from around the globe. Food lovers will find no shortage of flavour, with bustling weekly markets and authentic restaurants serving up local produce, Mediterranean dishes and fine regional wines.

Just a short drive away lie the limestone hills of Les Alpilles, dotted with olive groves, vineyards and storybook villages. Lose yourself in the cobbled lanes of Les Baux-de-Provence (21km) – officially one of the most beautiful villages in France – and don’t miss the immersive Carrières des Lumières, an extraordinary digital art show inside a former quarry.

To the south, the wild and untamed Camargue offers a complete contrast. This vast natural reserve is famed for its white horses, black bulls and flocks of flamingos, best explored by bike, boat or horseback. Visit the coastal town of Sainte-Marie-la-Mer (43km) for its relaxed beach atmosphere, seafood restaurants and traditional festivals.

For day trips rich in history and architecture, head west to Nîmes (37km), with its striking Roman amphitheatre and elegant squares, or further on to the majestic Pont du Gard aqueduct (42km) – an astonishing feat of ancient engineering and a unesco World Heritage site. In the other direction, spend a day in Aix-en-Provence (72km), a sophisticated Provençal town known for its fountains, leafy boulevards, and connection to painter Paul Cézanne.
