Another one of the town’s most celebrated attractions is the Saint-Paul de Mausole Monastery (2.3km), where Vincent van Gogh spent a year creating some of his most iconic works. A visit to this historic site offers an intimate glimpse into the artist’s world, with reproductions of his paintings displayed in the tranquil gardens that once inspired his masterpieces.
