Villa Strabo is located within an award-winning architectural complex consisting of three villas located in the Gennadi area of southern Rhodes. The villa offers a private swimming pool and luxurious accommodation, just a few steps from the sea, in a tranquil and secluded setting.
Villa Strabo features modern Greek design with stylish details. The villa includes three fully air-conditioned bedrooms, each with a double bed and a private balcony offering stunning sea views. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with elegant showers, while a shared bathroom with a shower is also available.
The villa boasts a fully equipped kitchen, ideal for preparing meals with local Greek products. The dining area is designed for comfort, and the living room offers a cosy space with a screen TV, satellite channels, and a large window that opens up to the private swimming pool and expansive sea views. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
Outdoors, guests can enjoy the private swimming pool with sunbeds for relaxation. A soothing Jacuzzi is also available for added comfort, along with a BBQ area and a seating space for evening gatherings.
The villa is on Genardi Beach. You can wander along the beach to local tavernas and beach bars or the town of Gennadi is 20 minute walk away. Rhodes is an island with more than its fair share of natural beauty and landmark sights. The unesco site of Lindos with its famed Acropolis is a short drive away is worth seeing. Down the coast, you also have resorts such as Ammoudes, Kolympia and, perhaps best-known, Faliraki. While its reputation may precede it, this is not the hedonism capital it once was. A children’s water-park and the beautiful Anthony Quinn Bay may tempt you there during the day, and an aquarium and scuba-diving school also embrace the aquatic theme.
The Lindos Acropolis is as spectacular as the coastal views it enjoys, and definitely worth seeing. Down the coast, you also have resorts such as Ammoudes, Kolympia and, perhaps best-known, Faliraki. The town of Rhodes is as good a place to start as any, and lies on the northern tip of the island. A walk along the medieval walls of the Old Town will offer you some beautiful views, accessible from the must-see Palace of the Grand Masters. Part of a World Heritage Site, this is also the location of a fine museum which offers the chance to familiarise yourself with Rhodian history, extending as far back as the 3rd century BC.
Another museum worth checking out is the Museum of Modern Greek Art, with an eclectic collection only rivalled by Athens. The New Town area is visually appealing itself, with an Art Deco influence present in much of its architecture. Mandráki harbour is the home of Evangelismós Cathedral, where you can find some impressive frescoes.
At the very southern tip of the island, Prasonisi’s location – dividing the Aegean and the Mediterranean – is considered prime wind-surfing territory. But if that sounds a little too exhilarating, Rhodes’ more sedate attractions like the Valley of the Butterflies, numerous wineries and the seven springs of the wonderfully scenic Epta Piges nature reserve, will provide just as pleasant a day out.

I’ve been looking forward to staying here in Gennardi and the villa has certainly been a positive aspect of our holiday. We arrived quite late on a Saturday night, the track down to the villas isn’t the clearest but not difficult to find. We stayed here during April, which was pretty good weather but not boiling for the whole two weeks. This meant that the pool (which is not heated) was not for the faint hearted. However, it was a good sized pool and I went in most days. The sea is literally a stones throw from the bottom of the terrace. The beach could do with some cleaning, but that seems to be a trend in general around south Rhodes. A car is clearly a must and you won’t walk around this area much, especially this time of year. The villa itself was plenty big enough for my family of 5, great sized bedrooms and ideal facilities. We used our Netflix account on the TV on those chilly evenings. The villa was exceptionally clean, beautifully designed and had a lift if you have people who struggle with stairs. I would highly recommend this villa.
