Stenies itself is a slow paced gem, a place of narrow paths, whitewashed homes and bursts of bougainvillaea that spill over stone walls. It’s a short walk from the villa and provides a wonderful introduction to the island’s slower rhythm. Just up the hill, you’ll find a small, welcoming taverna, perfect for unfussy local meals and hearty Greek dishes served with a smile.
One of the villa’s most prized features is its private pedestrian path down to a sandy beach, a safe, sheltered cove that’s ideal for swimming, snorkelling or simply settling down with a good book.
