The heart of the home lies between the buildings, where a shaded veranda connects both wings. Here, guests can gather for long, lazy meals beneath the pergola or settle in for an afternoon snooze on a cushioned bench, cicadas singing in the background. The infinity pool draws the eye to the horizon, its shimmering blue merging with the Aegean below. From dawn swims to dusky aperitifs, this is where Syros truly shines.
With no immediate neighbours and the scent of wild herbs on the breeze, the villa feels like a hidden pocket of calm. Yet just five minutes away, Agathopes Beach and local tavernas await, while Ermoupolis, the island’s neoclassical gem, is within easy reach for culture, dining, and harbourfront strolls.
Set in the peaceful hillside of Poseidonia, on the south-western tip of Syros, Villa Poseidonia enjoys the best of both seclusion and convenience. The surrounding area is known for its grand 19th-century mansions and elegant atmosphere, once a favoured summer retreat for wealthy Athenians. Today, it’s a quiet, refined corner of the island with beaches, bakeries, and family-run restaurants all just a five-minute drive from the villa.
Agathopes Beach, with its golden sand and clear, shallow water, is a favourite for swimmers and sunseekers alike, while nearby water sports centres offer sailing, kayaking and windsurfing for the more adventurous. Local shops and a well-stocked supermarket are easily accessible, while the island’s capital, Ermoupolis, just fifteen minutes away, offers a vibrant mix of architecture, history and nightlife. Known as the cultural heart of the Cyclades, Ermoupolis brims with theatres, galleries, pastel mansions and an active marina.
