The small village of Aughavas is situated in the south of County Leitrim, just eight miles from the town of Mohill. The village takes its name from the waterfall on the stream which still flows down near the local church. Close to the borders of Cavan and Longford, Aughavas is conveniently situated so that many of the inland attractions are within easy reach including Carrick-on-Shannon, often referred to as Ireland's ‘cruising capital’ and home to plenty of shops, pubs and eateries.
