Drive up the tranquil country road and pull into the large driveway to the cottage, with plenty of room, it is convenient for packing the car with your gear, before heading off to explore nature. The front garden on both sides of the driveway has a well-kept green lawn, the gravel area contains a picnic bench to enjoy a spot of lunch outside the cottage. Enter the open-plan living space where you can light up the electric fire to warm up and watch your favourite shows. The kitchen area is homely and well-equipped, with the dining area nearby to enjoy your home-cooked meals. There are two practical bedrooms; a double with an en-suite and a twin room also with an en-suite, which is perfect for privacy and speed whilst getting ready in the morning. There is plenty to explore nearby so pack up the cars and head out to Cong Abbey; explore the 13th-century ruins, and wander the forest behind it, any fans of the John Wayne film: Quiet Man, will appreciate the homage to the filming location in Ireland. Loch na Fooey is a hidden gem, offering scenic fishing spots and breathtaking views of boats gliding across the lake, along with a peaceful beach to relax on. Aasleagh Falls is another must-visit destination, where you can enjoy a beautiful walk and catch sight of trout and salmon leaping in the waterfall Wildlands is a great place for families to glide down the zip line, scramble up the climbing walls or solve the escape room puzzles. Located on the northern shore of the famous Lough Corrib, the village of Cornamona, County Galway is a popular site among trout and salmon anglers. Situated at the centre of the Joyce Country Mountain and Lake Districts, the village is set in one of the most scenic areas of Ireland. Cornamona is located in a Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking) region, although the friendly locals will be happy to help if English is your mother tongue. On the doorstep of beautiful North Connemara, the Killary Fjord and Renvyle Peninsula, the village is home to a shop, pub and Post Office along with a children's playground. Just a short drive are the towns of Clonbur, which offers a selection of shops and pubs, and the picturesque village of Cong, famed as the location for ‘The Quiet Man’ and home to Ashford Castle.
