Travel to nearby Pontoon where the road traverses a narrow waterway between Lough Cuilinn and its big sister Lough Conn, where you can continue on to the county town of Castlebar with its many shops and cafes. The National Museum of Ireland – Country Life, at nearby Turlough is a great day out for the whole family with plenty to see and do and is where you can experience the trials and tribulations of past generations. Take a day trip to Westport, a key stop off point on The Wild Atlantic Way and savour the wonderful beaches and mountains in the locality where you can marvel at and climb Ireland's holy mountain Croagh Patrick standing proud over Clew Bay. Motor north to bustling Ballina and into County Sligo to feel the Atlantic breeze on your face on beautiful Enniscrone beach which stretches for an amazing three miles. Foxford is a delightful town situated on the River Moy in County Mayo. Foxford is well known as a tourist centre and has a variety of traditional pubs, restaurants and shops. Nestled between the Ox and Nephin Mountains, the town caters for a range of outdoor activities such as walking, mountain biking and fishing. The Foxford Way is an 86km long trail which takes in the Ox Mountains, archaeological sites, boglands and river banks. For fishing enthusiasts, the River Moy offers salmon fishing, whilst nearby Loughs Conn and Cullin provide opportunities for brown trout fishing.
