Travel west along the coast road from Galway City into the Connemara heartland and arrive at Lettermore village. The village is located on an island of similar name and approached by a series of causeways or bridges that link a number of in-shore islands. Just outside the village, perched high on an elevated site with outstanding views of Connemara landscape, you'll discover Lakeview. This is a comfortable cottage, boasting 4 bedrooms, a nice fully fitted kitchen with dining area and a comfortable sitting room with majestic views over adjoining lakes and countryside. The cottage has been lovingly decorated to provide you with a relaxing break and offers a wonderful touring base for this most idyllic location. Step outside the cottage, stone walls, dramatic landscape, sea breezes, rocky outcrops, a true reflection of Connemara. The area abounds with sea inlets and small quiet beaches. Spend some time at The Connemara National Park nearby with its many treks and trails. Take the ferry at nearby Rossaveal to the three Aran Islands, all inhabited, and savour the culture and traditions of island life. Travel further west to the bustling town of Clifden, an oasis in the west, and enjoy its many pubs, cafes and restaurants. The city Of Galway is a must for all visitors to the area, with many activities for everyone, with many festivals and fun events during the season. Located on a small island in the south west corner of County Galway, the village of Lettermore, on the Wild Atlantic Way by Bord Failte, is connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway. The countryside is full of coves, beaches and inlets to explore, and boasts opportunities for sailing, fishing and scuba diving. The Connemara National Park is also within easy driving distance, whilst the renowned Aran Islands are located just off the coast in Galway Bay.

The Lakeview cottage was an excellent place to stay the accommodation was spot on the owner he was a very pleasant person made us welcome on arrival and on departure we both loved staying there

Only tiny issues were that the toaster didnât work and there was no way to make fresh coffee. Lack of wifi wasnât an issue for me but might be for other visitors.
