If you're seeking a plethora of walking routes and a scenic experience, head to nearby Carlow, boasting rambling routes of all kinds through its extensive number of gardens, its Carlow Garden Trail and Altamont House being some of the best, there's plenty to see here, alongside its Military Museum and Carlow County Museum being the perfect way to learn about the rich history of the area.
