Fernwood in Killarney is a spacious and comfortable holiday home, appreciated for its ample room and warm atmosphere. The property's location is convenient for exploring the local area, and guests have found it to be a suitable choice for both family and pet-friendly holidays. While some guests have suggested that updates and maintenance could enhance the experience, the property generally meets the needs of those looking to enjoy the beauty of Kerry.
Guests have had mixed experiences with cleanliness. Some found the property to be clean and tidy, while others noted issues with mould, blocked shower drains, and cobwebs. The inconsistency in feedback suggests room for improvement in ensuring a consistently high standard of cleanliness.
The property's location is frequently praised for being close to amenities and the town centre, with easy access to local attractions. However, some guests noted the roads can be narrow and busy, and the distance from town may require a car or taxi for safe travel at night.
Many guests found the property to be comfortable, with a warm welcome and sufficient space for large groups. However, there were comments about the need for more modern furnishings and better mattresses, suggesting that while the property is generally comfortable, there is potential for enhancement.
Reviews indicate that the property is well-equipped for a holiday stay, with a secure garden and good parking. Nonetheless, guests have reported issues with appliances, heating, and hot water, as well as a lack of kitchen equipment, which affects the overall functionality of the facilities.
