Guests appreciate the immaculate condition and cleanliness of the property, its convenient location close to local amenities, and the helpfulness of the host. The property offers a comfortable stay with a well-laid-out house, though some guests noted issues with electricity and heating costs. The village's charm and the property's value for money are highlighted, with many looking forward to returning.
The property is generally praised for its cleanliness, with one review specifically mentioning the house being 'so clean'. However, one review mentioned dust and cobwebs, slightly lowering the score.
The location is highly regarded, being close to cafes, restaurants, and local attractions. The quiet setting away from traffic is also appreciated, contributing to a high score.
Comfort is acknowledged positively, with the property described as comfortable and well laid out. Some concerns about heating and draughts prevent a higher score.
Facilities are adequate, with mentions of a Sony Bravia TV and Blu-ray player. However, issues with electricity supply, missing supplies, and outdoor lighting problems affect the score.
While some guests expressed a desire for welcome gifts such as a small box with milk and bread, there is no consistent mention of gifts being provided or not, so a score cannot be given.

The table mats need to be replaced they are very worn & tatty. There was an issue with ants in the utility area. The outside lights were not working & it was so very dark at nights outside & as a result of this my elderly mother had a fall & banged her arm, it could have been worse. Christine the caretaker was very helpful when I rang her about this, she got onto the owner straight away, he then sent an electrician out the next morning. He condemned the lights but managed to get a light working in the one outside the front door. He rang the owner who agreed to fix only one out the back. The lights are not much use until you get inside & turn them on. The street lights outside were all not working at all, all filled with moss inside them etc etc, so the whole place outside was pitch black, again a very dangerous place in the dark. This needs to be addressed for everyone not just number 13. It would be nice when travelling to the house & arriving late at night to have had at least a small welcome box with milk & bread in it, like in previous years. We have stayed in many of these holiday homes over the years & I can see so many cuts backs apart from the cost of them. Even the electric is so very pricey. The inside decor needs attention, where paint has come off the cream walls, they have been patched up with white paint in blobs. For the cost of the rental I would of expected perfection

Positives: near centre of town yet in quiet location well away from traffic, waterfall and gardens just a short walk away, spacious and airy, furniture comfortable, Sony Bravia TV and Blu-ray player, manager Christina was great. Negatives: Wi-Fi is pay as you go (â¬15 per week), supplies missing (washing-up liquid, soap, Blu-rays/DVDs, games, starter pack for fireplace) despite some of these mentioned as supplied in description, not eco-friendly (draughts everywhere - expensive to heat if cold, only 2 LED bulbs - all others tungsten, no energy monitor, no bin for recycling), hotel first night because Christina broke her phone - free night offered but I needed to leave early - hope she now has useful number for alternative contact!

I have also used the "Send Message To Host" feature at VRBO to share my concern directly. I will be happy to upgrade reviews of this place when I am reimbursed for the costs I incurred in order to restore electrical power when it was cut off during our stay.
