Guests say

Lehane's Cottage in Macroom offers a cosy, authentic experience with a woodburner stove and comfortable bedrooms, praised for its privacy and peaceful setting. The owners are commended for their friendliness and responsiveness. While some guests suggest the kitchen and bathroom could benefit from upgrades, the overall stay is enjoyed, with many looking forward to returning.

The reviews do not extensively cover cleanliness. However, one mention of a stained sofa suggests room for improvement, while no other major cleanliness issues are noted.

The cottage's location is described as private and peaceful, with easy access to local shops, providing a good balance between seclusion and convenience.

Guests find the bedrooms comfortable and the living areas cosy, especially with the log burner. However, the comfort is somewhat marred by the mention of a stiff door and a cold hallway.

Facilities are seen as adequate but in need of an upgrade, particularly in the kitchen and bathroom. Electrical safety concerns and missing kitchen items are noted, indicating a need for attention.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate the level of thoughtfulness, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

The cottage had everything we needed for our weekend stay. Although situated on the owners property close to their own home, it felt very private and not overlooked. Mary, our host was very attentive, ensuring we had our needs met.

Living room and bedrooms comfortable and absolutely lovely. Very comfortable mattress in main bedroom. Kitchen well equipped. We were encouraged to use the log burner, which we did, and really enjoyed, in the evenings. Many thanks to your delightful girls who kept us well stocked with logs! Very good internet. The shower/toilet area is perfectly functional, but we understand is waiting to be upgraded. This was a lovely stay in a beautiful, peaceful location with outstanding views. Overall, excellent! Thank you.
