Guests say

Dirreen House is consistently praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and the thoughtful touches provided by the host, such as a welcome pack with food items. Guests enjoy the peaceful, rural setting and find it a good base for exploring the surrounding areas. The absence of Wi-Fi and a dishwasher are noted, but these are minor compared to the overall positive experience.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests unanimously commend the property for its exceptional cleanliness, often describing it as spotless and fresh. This indicates a very high standard of hygiene maintained at the property.

The property is appreciated for its peaceful rural setting, with easy access to local sights. While some guests find the location slightly remote, the majority value the tranquillity and proximity to areas of interest.

The comfort of the property is frequently highlighted, with guests mentioning comfortable beds and a cosy atmosphere. The spacious garden and outdoor seating also contribute to the overall comfort.

Facilities are generally well-received, especially the well-stocked kitchen and the inclusion of a welcome pack. However, some guests mention the lack of Wi-Fi and a dishwasher, which suggests room for improvement in this category.

The host's thoughtfulness is evident in the welcome packs provided, which include food items and sometimes homemade bread. While these gifts are highly appreciated, it is politely noted that such extras, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Only downside if you can call it that is the fact there was loads of food there and we had done a big shop before we got there , after reading make sure nothing is left..a bit misleading . Overall great..

Keurig verzorgd, met alles erop en eraan. Heel schoon en op een heel rustige plaats gelegen. Heel fijn was het toen we op zaterdag aankwamen dat men al diverse etenswaren in de koelkast had klaar gelegd.

We made the possible mistake of stocking up at the Tesco store in Abbeyfeale before arriving but the cottage was well stocked with fresh bread and milk and all the ingredients for a full Irish breakfast. A bit lacking on instructions - how does the recycling work, what goes in what bin etc. - and some local info such as doctors' and taxi phone contact, local shops, restaurants (eg Gapo's in Listowel) etc could be useful. We would be very happy to return!
