Only a short drive from the town of Newcastle West which boasts the ruins of a medieval castle just off the town square. Also close by is the village of Adare, wrapped in history and certainly worth a visit. A unique cottage with much to see in the nearby area.
The village of Ardagh lies in County Limerick, surrounded by countryside. Ardagh is home to a local shop, two pubs and a Post Office; only a short drive from the town of Newcastle West, Limerick's second largest after Limerick City, which is situated on the River Arra and boasts the ruins of a medieval castle just off the town square. The county of Limerick offers delightful walks and cycle routes, excellent golf courses and traditional pubs.
