Just on the doorstep of the cottage you will be pleased to discover a handful of quaint pubs, such as Teach Hiudaí Beag's, renowned for Irish traditional music and café's such as Cafe Kitty, a traditional café with a delicious homemade menu. A short walk will take you to Sean Óg Bar & Restaurant a fantastic bar which offers food and live music throughout the year, the ideal place for an authentic Irish pub experience. For days out while you're at the property take a trip to the luscious sandy beach which is less than a mile when walking and home to the famous Bunbeg Wreck, affectionately referred to as 'Bad Eddie's Boat' or 'Cara Na Mara', a 1970s shipwreck and tourist hot spot.
Avid walkers, cyclists and explorers alike will relish in a day at the Glenveagh National Park, exploring the many terrains of the rolling hill tops, oak woodland and exquisitely tended gardens and grounds in of Glenveagh Castle.If you are travelling with animal lovers or younger guests, a scenic drive will bring you to Tropical World, a family-friendly day out for all ages where you can discover the plethora of butterfly species in the butterfly house and their mini zoo, which houses a number of birds and mammals.
