Seaview Cottage offers a tranquil retreat with stunning beach proximity and ample space, including a conservatory for dining with views. Guests appreciate the welcome basket and the night sky is a delight for stargazers. While the location is remote, it provides a serene escape.
The property requires a deep clean, with reports of grease in the kitchen and a grotty shower. However, bedclothes and towels were noted as clean.
The cottage's remote setting by a beautiful beach is highly praised, though amenities are a drive away and the area is quiet with limited dining options.
The living spaces are comfortable, but several guests reported poor mattress quality, with springs being felt, and flat pillows, affecting sleep quality.
Facilities are in need of maintenance, with issues like a leaking shower and a lack of cleaning equipment. The kitchen is well-sized but has some broken elements.
The welcome basket was a pleasant touch, appreciated by guests. However, as gifts are not guaranteed, future guests should note this may vary.

The king size bed was so bad I drove to Milford on Sunday to buy a mattress topper there was no way we could have stayed the week without it, the bed was so hard with the springs rubbing against you, The tiles on the wall and floor of the upstairs bathroom were cracked the shower itself leaked and the water dripped through the living room ceiling so we stopped using that shower, the pressure of water from the other upstairs shower was also very poor. Thursday the heating stopped working we went and bought sticks, logs, turf and firelighters for the open fire there were a few small oil filled electric radiators which we also use my daughter eventually got the heating working Friday afternoon, i think the tell-tale sign about the conditions of the house was the FOR SALE sign, we went back to this house for personal reasons and to make memories unfortunately the memories off the house won't be good, but we made great 1s out and about

The living room was very comfortable but the mattresses on the beds could do with renewing as they were very thin and not very comfortable. Only one person was able to use one of the upstairs bed as you could feel the springs in one side of the bed. Fortunately we had an airbed with us that we had to use instead. As there were 6 adults and three children in our family we found the fridge was not very cold and had no shelves on the fridge door to hold milk, water and juice. The beach was amazing even though the weather wasn't great but the wind from the Atlantic made it perfect for the children to fly their kites. They loved it. The scenery and on some nights the sunsets were stunning and overall we enjoyed our holiday. The only thing that would stop us going back there was it was a bit too isolated. We do love Donegal but would in the future stay closer to Dunfanaghy or Letterkenny.

Unfortunately the mattress in the master bedroom upstairs is terrible, springs sticking out of it etc. The pillows are all a bit flat and useless too. However we had an enjoyable stay, the rest of house is great and being so close to the beach was lovely. We enjoyed the open fire and had lots of space to rest and recharge
