Located near the whitewashed town of Ostuni, the striking century-old trulli take centre stage at this special property. Beautifully restored in 2015 by its owner, a young Milanese architect who spent her childhood in Puglia, the attention to detail that has gone into the décor has created a truly magical space. 

Trulli La Pietrina has three gorgeous double bedrooms all with shower en-suites and access to the pretty garden. The cosy living room houses an ancient stone fireplace and has fantastic views out to the pool and green rolling hills. The kitchen is fully-equipped with everything you need to whip up a tasty breakfast accompanied by figs and plums fresh from the garden.

Outside is a large swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers and parasols, a covered terrace, and a separate al fresco dining area where you can get the BBQ blazing and enjoy a glass of wine.

Set on two hectares of rich Italian soil, the olive grove on Trulli La Pietrina land is still harvested by hand every November. Crushed in the local press they produce top quality extra virgin olive oil. A well-established herb garden thrives alongside vines of sweet cherry tomatoes giving you all the ingredients for a mouth-watering bruschetta. 

A large panoramic roof terrace is the perfect spot for gazing out over the olive groves as the sun sets and taking in the dazzling star-filled skies at night.

Trulli La Pietrina enjoys a peaceful setting among the olive groves of the Valle d’Itria, just a short drive from Ostuni. Known as the White City, Ostuni is one of Puglia’s most distinctive hilltop towns, with whitewashed houses, narrow lanes, stone stairways and lively piazzas unfolding beneath its historic cathedral. The old town is ideal for slow afternoons spent browsing small boutiques, stopping for an aperitivo and sampling regional dishes in traditional trattorias.

The surrounding countryside is equally rewarding, dotted with centuries-old olive trees, dry-stone walls and characterful towns such as Ceglie Messapica, which is particularly well known for its food culture. Days can also be spent along the Adriatic coast, where sandy beaches, rocky coves and clear waters are within easy reach. For a quieter coastal experience, the protected landscape of Torre Guaceto offers unspoilt shoreline, walking routes and rich natural habitats.

A car is essential for reaching the beaches, towns and restaurants nearby.

The Trullo

Trulli La Pietrina has three double bedrooms, two of which are built of the typical local stone and all of which have en-suite bathrooms and separate access to the garden. The double beds in these rooms can be separated into singles. Bedrooms can be either connected by internal doors or kept separated and are perfect for a family with children. Master double bedroom is in the main building, where the kitchen and the living room are located - not connected with other two Trulli's bedrooms and separated from them by a wall.
