About this property

It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to stay within a 17th century palazzo in the heart of the traditional town of Sogliano Cavour, a fine base for exploring the Salento region of southern Puglia with its artistic treasures and picture-perfect beaches.

Having been meticulously restored over a two-year period, Dimora Giusti is perfect for discerning guests wishing to experience the authenticity of Apulian life alongside modern comforts. Originally designed for two brothers, the palazzo has been divided into two individual residences, each with its own outdoor space and inviting private pool. Air-conditioning and heating make Dimora Giusti ideal for any time of year.

On the right hand side of the historic building, Dimora Contrada welcomes up to 14 guests and exudes a sense of rustic grandeur, warmth and authentic character. Step into the dining hall, the perfect spot for regional feasts, perhaps prepared by a local chef in the kitchen with its modern steel appliances. Dotted across various wings, all seven bedrooms are charmingly simple yet refined, most with king-size double beds, some also featuring en suite baths or showers.

Outside, the large patio paved with traditional chianche stone is such an idyllic space for relaxing and dining al-fresco, whilst the secret garden, shaded by an ancient tree, is home to the private pool. Meanwhile, a hidden staircase leads to a rooftop terrace where panoramic views of the town and vibrant sunsets create a truly magical experience.

The second dwelling is Dimora Salento, sleeping 10 guests across five individual bedrooms, each with a king-size double bed and en suite (one featuring a luxurious hammam). Soaring star-vaulted ceilings and rustic yet minimalist interiors create a characterful backdrop to relaxed living across the lounge, dining area and contemporary-styled kitchen.

Wander through the glass doors to discover the al-fresco dining terrace, then follow steps up to the beautiful pool and a relaxation space. The rooftop also awaits, an especially idyllic spot on warm summer evenings.

With a focus on sustainability powered by solar energy, Dimora Giusti offers a stay that feels rooted in history yet in tune with modern, sustainable living.

Set in the very heart of Sogliano Cavour, Dimora Giusti invites guests to experience daily life in an authentic Puglian town with its bakery, welcoming cafes and restaurants. The Baroque splendour of Lecce lies just half an hour away by car, whilst both the Ionian and Adriatic coastlines are easily reached with idyllic shores and crystalline waters, from Gallipoli to Otranto.

Dimora Giusti is indeed a graceful gateway to the soul of Salento in this captivating part of southern Italy.

Located in the heart of the charming town of Sogliano Cavour, only half an hour south of Lecce, Dimora Giusti offers an authentic gateway to southern Puglia.

This elegant palazzo is set on the main square, nestled within a network of old lanes and historic buildings where every corner feels like a step back in time. Discover the gentle rhythms of daily life from the nearby bakery and other friendly shops to a small handful of inviting cafes and restaurants. Sogliano Cavour’s own Romanesque church adds a note of historic elegance – it’s beautifully lit up in the evening.

Guests are perfectly positioned to explore the cultural and culinary richness of Salento. Beyond the town, the coastline beckons with its stunning variety of beaches. Within easy reach are Adriatic shores near Otranto (31km) or the turquoise bays of Gallipoli (23km) on the Ionian side. Spiaggia di Porto Cesareo (37km) is another gem of the region, famed for its protected marine reserve.

The landscape inland is equally enchanting, dotted with ancient olive groves, vineyards and low-lying farms, ideal for scenic drives, cycling or tasting regional wines at source. Interesting villages worth considering include Ruffano (19km), Specchia (30km) and Presicce (35km).

The area’s rich heritage continues in nearby baroque towns like Lecce (29km), often called the ‘Florence of the South’, with its ornate architecture and lively cultural scene. Whether wandering through whitewashed hill towns, joining a local festa or marvelling at centuries-old churches, guests will find themselves immersed in the rhythms of a land shaped by history, community and deep-rooted tradition.
