Perched high on the Amalfi Coast with breathtaking views over the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius, Villa Roga is a beautiful 3-bedroom villa accommodating up to 7 guests in rustic serenity and modern opulence.
Stepping into the villa, guests are greeted by a spacious living room with views over the sprawling, sea view terrace. With plush sofas and a rustic, warming décor, the living room seamlessly connects with the dining room where a fireplace and access to the terrace maximise the flow of indoor-outdoor living.
Adjacent to the living room is the fully equipped kitchen, a haven for culinary enthusiasts whether you’re tossing together a Mediterranean salad or preparing a holiday meal for family and friends. Villa Roga boasts a professional chef available upon request, capable of coming on any given day and utilising the villa’s vegetable garden to design a three-course-meal.
The three thoughtfully designed bedrooms cater to different tastes and preferences. Ascending to the first floor reveals the first two double bedrooms, each boasting double-beds, ensuite bathrooms with showers, and stunning sea views. The third double room is located in an annex off the main terrace, and boasts a queen-sized bed, ensuite bathroom with shower, and a private patio space with lounge and coffee table.
On the top floor guests will find the expansive main suite, boasting a double-bed, walk-in closet, sprawling bathroom with raised jacuzzi, and a spectacular terrace with sun loungers and panoramic views across the Bay of Naples.
Stepping outside, the villa's terrace beckons you to soak in the Mediterranean sun. With panoramic views of the surrounding hills and the azure sea in the distance, it's an idyllic spot for morning coffee or evening aperitivos. There’s also ample opportunity to cool off are warm up thanks to plunge swimming pool and jacuzzi. The 3,000sqm manicured garden, complete with olive grove, citrus grove, vegetable garden, and a bevy of nooks to relax on hammocks and garden furniture, invites you to unwind and savour the beauty of this enchanting region.
Villa Roga, with its thoughtfully designed layout and authentic charm, promises an unforgettable Italian escape, where every moment is an opportunity to create cherished memories with your loved ones.
The world-renowned Amalfi Coast was a playground for Rome’s emperors and continues as a playground to this day. The region’s combination of ancient historical sites, stunning natural scenery, sunshine, and fabulous food, make it one of the best holiday destinations.
First things first, start your day with a coffee and sfogliatella, a sweetly delicious pastry that will have you on your knees with the first bite. The centre of Sorrento is a short drive away, and can even be reached on foot (20-minutes) via a scenic trail. Another scenic trail which begins close to the villa runs along another scenic path to the town of Massa Lubrense which looks out over Capri. Make sure to check out local restaurant La Torre.
The Amalfi coast is not exactly famous for its beaches, but the ones that do line the coast are small, friendly, and usually relatively quiet. There are some larger ones with all the usual facilities, but they get pretty busy in July and August. Instead, head away from the regular haunts and you’re bound to find your own little secret cove somewhere along the coast. Another fun day trip is a boat tour to Li Galli Sirenuse, visiting the archipelago made up of La Castelluccia, Gallo Lungo and La Rotonda. Listen carefully and you might hear the song of the Sirens on this little cluster of islands off the coast!
If you’re feeling up to a food adventure for lunch or dinner, make the trip to Naples, the birthplace of pizza, where you can hardly go wrong. Naples is also great for its shopping. It’s mad, it’s loud, it’s insanely busy, but with so many tiny backstreets and piazzas to explore, it’s an absolute gem of a city and well worth a visit. Use public transport to get there though, as parking is notoriously limited.
History lovers can’t afford to miss the nearby sites of Pompei and Herculaneum. The volcanically preserved Roman cities are only a short distance from the villa and easily accessible via public transport (very limited parking!). One of the best ways to see the sights is with a private guide.
If you want to be thrown into the natural beauty of the area, head to the Ferrier Valley Nature Reserve. Full of lemon groves and gorgeous spring flowers, the reserve is best known for its tranquillity and its spectacular waterfalls, making this the perfect spot for a day’s hike.
