Our recent week-long stay at Villa Mocasina in July 2024 was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled in a breathtakingly beautiful location, the villa provided a sanctuary of tranquility and luxury. As I write this review from the shaded canopy of the outdoor kitchen and dining area, overlooking the pristine pool and lush garden, I am filled with gratitude for the countless wonderful memories we created here. Jürgen and Isabel, our gracious hosts, truly elevated our experience. They greeted us upon arrival, providing a warm welcome and a comprehensive tour of the property. Their thoughtful recommendations for local restaurants and activities enriched our stay immensely. To our delight, they had also stocked the villa with groceries, allowing us and our children to settle in immediately and enjoy the pool from the moment we arrived. Their exceptional hospitality extended throughout our stay, connecting us with Elena, a wonderful caregiver who looked after our children and prepared delicious meals, and Luca, a skilled massage therapist who provided in-villa treatments. The Lake Garda area is a fabulous option for families. My kids loved visiting one of the many water parks in this area – we chose Prato Blu Parco Acquatico, and it was fantastic. Thanks to Jürgen and Isabel's insights, we discovered some of the best local restaurants. We dined twice at their favorite pizzeria, GiuMa – the food there is so good. We were also lucky enough to get into the Michelin-starred Lido 84, with its stunning lake views. We visited the beaches that and Jürgen and Isabel recommended and rented pedal boat rentals, which was such fun for our kids, and strolled through the picturesque villages nearby to the villa. Isabel even shared her personal running route from the villa, which was a beautiful morning run to start my day. Every aspect of Villa Mocasina is meticulously designed and thoughtfully organized. With three kitchens, including a fully-equipped outdoor kitchen, the villa catered to all our culinary needs. Despite the outdoor temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, the historic stone construction kept the interior pleasantly cool, with air conditioning providing extra comfort at night. The heated pool was a delightful retreat after our daily adventures. The villa's amenities, including a well-equipped gym and a mini-golf course in the garden, ensured that both adults and children were thoroughly entertained. Staying at Villa Mocasina was a truly spectacular experience. While the villa's beauty and luxury are self-evident, it was Jürgen and Isabel's exceptional hospitality that made our stay unforgettable. Their efforts, along with Elena's wonderful childcare and culinary skills, added a special touch that we deeply appreciated. Our children, aged 8 and 6, immediately adored Elena. We cannot thank Jürgen and Isabel enough for their warmth and dedication. Villa Mocasina is more than just a beautiful house; it is a haven where unforgettable memories are made, thanks to the extraordinary care and attention of its hosts.
